Magwood, the extremely successful boutique owned by namesake Sarah Magwood, recently relocated to Queen Street from Dundas West. The stock at Magwood spans decades, with gorgeous party dresses from the 60’s, Lanvin from the 70’s, and Ungaro from the 80's. Magwood ranges in price points, with lots of great “no name” accessories available for under $100. This revamped version of Magwood carries a selection of vintage bridal attire and kids clothes, as well. Rumour also has it that in-store tailoring will be available beginning in May.

V recently moved to Queen Street from its former home at 198 Walnut Street, just across from the park – you know which park I mean. While I thought V was fabulous in its previous incarnation, I love it even more now. Owned by Kealan Sullivan of 69 Vintage, V puts a contemporary spin on vintage clothing. The whitewashed space and wall of boots – don’t believe me? See the evidence here – allows V the opportunity to provide customers with a sensory shopping experience. Plus, Sullivan really knows her stuff. V is stocked with vintage items that are a la mode, like beautiful brocade dresses from the 60’s, leather jackets, a selection of accessories, and pieces by Toronto designers Caitlin Power and Evan Biddell.
When I think of Cabaret, the first images that come to mind are always of their fantastic window displays. This self described “high fashion vintage boutique” has been on the vintage scene in Toronto for years, and is definitely considered a pioneer. The items may skew toward a higher price point, but the impeccable details found in each piece make it worthwhile. Cabaret has a wide selection of both men's and women's clothing and accessories. They also recently launched Cabaret Collection, an in house line of dresses inspired by vintage silhouettes and bygone eras. And, to any soon to be brides out there looking for a vintage wedding gown, Cabaret is the place for you.

Mama Loves You Vintage
541 Queen Street West

Mama Loves You Vintage is a bright and inviting shop owned by mother-daughter duo Melo and Mahro Anfield. The well curated merchandise showcases the shared aesthetic between mother and daughter; trendier items from the 90’s are mixed in with classic pieces from the 30’s and 40’s, mod styles from the 70’s, and higher end designer finds. Merchandise purchased by Melo in Vancouver goes onto the floor daily, meaning there’s always something new. Plus, the prices really can’t be beat -- $20-$75 for most items and $200-$500 for rarer finds. Read more about Mama Loves You here.
